Seeing one is a sign that positive change is transpiring, and brave forces are watching over you ensuring graceful transitions. This confidence will carry you during your class because these butterflies are easy to make! Beginners can be assured that they will walk out with a lovely project. You will be making 9 butterflies using an iridized glass and set them as you please on a wire branch. Having a a whole branch covered with butterflies is so beautiful that you will look at it all the time. It can be hung in a window or set in a vase along with flowers or a plant. Remember to bring a dish cloth to dry your pieces.  This is a long class so be prepared to have something to drink and a snack with you (if you wish). For safety reasons, please make sure that you have closed shoes and your long hair tied-back. Register

Join us at the Mansfield Art Center and create your own tufted rug! This 6 hour class will introduce students on how to operate a tufting gun as well as cut, glue and shave their own tufted piece. Students will work on their own designs on a 30×30 frame.   Frame, cloth, yarn, backing and tufting gun are all included in the cost of this class. Please email a picture to your instructor, Tony Sansalone, at least 3 days before the class begins. Your design can be anything! Your dog, cat, a self-portrait, landscape or even an abstract piece. In this needle felting class you’ll be learning to sculpt a bear out of roving (produced during the process of making spun yarn from wool fleece). Needle felting is the process of using a barbed needle to repeatedly jab the roving causing the fiber to tangle and become more compact. In this class you will learn the basics of needle felting a three dimensional object, how to create a core shape, apply an outer color, build arms and feet, if desired, and create facial features. Students can choose different colors and each will design their own unique bear. As time allows, students can needle felt “bear accessories” such as hats, scarves, etc. Needle felting is an easy-to-learn technique that involves lots of poking with a barbed needle (also can be effective stress relief), to shape and sculpt the natural fiber. You’ll be surprised at what you can create with a needle, some fiber, and a little imagination! No bears will look the same, and that is part of the fun!

You can make this! Kelly will teach us how to design and make vibrant pastas and you will go home with everything you create. It will be an easy going yet intense class and you will LOVE IT. She enjoys creating bespoke boxes themed for a special occasion or company logo. Kelly uses dehydrated superfoods to color the pasta and shapes each piece by hand. In addition to offering limited seasonal designs, Kelly now shares her love for pasta by teaching pasta making classes. $120.00

Achieve this  interesting look of a Monstera Leaf with a with green and white glass.  Made in the traditional copper foil and soldering method it is an easy project for those who have already taken a beginner class or know how to cut glass.
